WatchAnything

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 10, 2026

In short

WatchAnything does not collect any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We, the developer, cannot see your pictures.

What the app does with your data

Pictures you choose. You can add pictures from Photos, the camera, Files or the clipboard, or create them from text and the built-in graphics. The app only receives the items you pick. Photo library access uses Apple’s picker, so the app sees only the photos you select. The camera is used only when you take a picture. Cropping, filters, background removal and face detection run on your iPhone; nothing is uploaded to us.

Sending to your Apple Watch. Pictures go directly from your iPhone to your paired Apple Watch through Apple’s WatchConnectivity and are stored on the watch.

Gallery and albums in your iCloud. If iCloud is turned on for WatchAnything, your sent pictures, the original image with your edit settings, and your album list are saved in the private iCloud storage of your Apple Account. This lets you see them again on another device. Only you have access. Apple stores this data under its own privacy policy; we have no access to it. You can turn off iCloud for WatchAnything in the Settings app.

Image Playground. If your device supports Apple Intelligence, you can create pictures with Apple’s Image Playground. Apple provides this feature under its own privacy policy. We do not receive these pictures unless you send them to your watch, and then they are handled as described above.

Support emails. If you choose to contact us from the app, your mail app opens with a prepared message. It contains the app version, your iPhone model and iOS version, and your Apple Watch model and watchOS version. You can see and delete this information before sending. We use your email address and message only to answer your request and delete them when they are no longer needed. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.

App Store. Apple handles downloads, ratings and reviews. If you have agreed to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give us anonymous, aggregated statistics and crash reports. These do not identify you.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability.
